Chaplain Program

The Evanston Police Department has an interfaith team of volunteer chaplains. These chaplains are experienced clergy. They either serve congregations in Evanston or live in Evanston while serving nearby communities.
The Chief of Police appoints Chaplain Team members. They serve at the Chief’s discretion.
Police chaplains provide emotional, moral, and spiritual support to police officers, department staff, and their families. Chaplains may also help with:
