The Evanston Fire Department receives hundreds of permit applications, fire alarm registrations, and Freedom of Information Act requests each year. This page is meant to serve as a repository for the public to better understand 1) what kinds of processes funnel through the Evanston Fire Department, 2) what kinds of information can be requested through the Evanston Fire Department, and 3) how the processes work and typical timelines for these processes.
