Boards, Commissions, and Committees
The Evanston Mayor is accepting applications from community members interested in volunteering for one or more of the 40 active Boards, Commissions, and Committees. Of these, 24 have Mayoral appointments. As a BCC member, you will have a seat at the table to ensure community voices are heard.
BCC members impact every corner of our community and greatly advance our shared vision of making Evanston “the most livable city.” Members participate in discussions that affect and shape the future of our City.
It is the responsibility of the Mayor to discuss vacancies and review applications with City staff on a monthly or as-needed basis. Applications are considered on the basis of: (a) openings, (b) date received, and (c) qualifications. Efforts are made to reflect Evanston’s diverse population.
