Recycling at the Ecology Center

The Ecology Center provides a convenient location for Evanston residents to drop off the following items:

Small Electronics:

• Cell phones
• Digital & video cameras
• LCD flat monitors
• Laptop & notebook computers (sorry, no desktops)
• MP3 players
• Inkjet & laser cartridges
• Graphing calculators
• Game consoles
• GPS systems
• Radar detectors, routers & modems
• Apple products
• Cords for electronics

Fluorescent Lightbulbs:

• CFL’s (please bring in in self-locking plastic bags)
• Fluorescent light tubes (up to 4 feet)

Holiday string lights are also accepted from December 1-January 31st

Recycle Coach:

The City of Evanston has partnered with Recycle Coach to offer more information on waste programming to its community members. Look up thousands of materials and find which waste containers they are allowed in. Or, find information on drop-off locations or nearby collection events. Visit the Recycle Coach here.
