The Evanston City Council approved a fund to provide vulnerable populations in Evanston with basic needs such as housing, food, and clothing assistance, including other necessities.

As a welcoming city, Evanston welcomes diversity and strongly supports the equal treatment of all individuals regardless of national origin. The City is committed to assisting Evanston's vulnerable groups with reaching self-sufficiency and providing support services that will help them become integrated in their new environment.

You must be an Evanston resident to qualify.
Income received, such as wages, self-employment earnings, or other forms of income are considered when determining the amount of assistance applicants are eligible for.

Individuals who have been charged with defrauding a local, state or federal governmental program are not eligible.
