Firefighter's Pension Board

PURPOSE: To provide and distribute funds for the pension of firefighters and widows and minor children of deceased firefighters. (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 108 1/2. Sec. 4-121).

#  OF MEMBERS: Five (5) members. Two (2) members shall be appointed by the mayor or represent the board of trustees of the municipality or fire protection district involved.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) members of the board shall be active participants of the pension fund who are elected from the active participants of the fund. One (1)member of the board shall be a person who is retired under the Firemen's Pension

REPORTS TO: City Council and to the Illinois Department of Insurance
