City Announces “Holiday Parking: Free for 2026” Promotion
The City is making local holiday shopping easy again this year with its “Holiday Parking: Free for 2026” promotion. Community members and visitors to Evanston’s business districts can enjoy up to two hours of free street parking per day from Wednesday, November 25, 2026, through January 1, 2027.
This year, the City will cover both the cost of parking and the transaction fees that normally apply to Park Evanston app sessions, so users will pay nothing for qualifying sessions.
The offer is valid for Park Evanston app users once per day per account. Users simply enter the code Evanston2026 to receive up to two hours of free street parking, making it easy to explore and support Evanston businesses during the holiday season.
Please note that the code covers one parking session per day, up to a total value of $4.47. Whether that session lasts 15 minutes or the full two hours, the code cannot be used again until the following day, and unused time does not carry over to a later session.
To access this promotion, follow these easy steps:
-
Download the Park Evanston app, available for both iOS and Android
-
Select your parking zone, plate number, and session length
-
On the Parking details/Payment details screen, tap “Redeem” and enter the validation code: Evanston2026
Terms and conditions may apply, and the offer has no cash value except where required by law. Free parking is only available through the Park Evanston mobile app. Payment is required when using a pay box.
