Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed every year from September 15 to October 15, honoring the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. This September and October, the Evanston Latino Coalition is celebrating with a full calendar of community events, presented in partnership with local organizations including Evanston Latinos, LENS (Latinos en Evanston Northshore), Alianza de Familias Bilingües TMI, Padres Empoderados, and the Evanston Public Library.

Tuesday, September 15  |  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center (1655 Foster St.)

Thursday, September 17  |  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — DE AQUÍ Y DE ALLÁ: Historias Hechas Arte, Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center (1823 Church St.)

Saturday, September 19  |  3 p.m. to 6 p.m. — Courts of Cultura, McGaw YMCA (1000 Grove St.)

Sunday, September 20  |  1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Hispanic Heritage 2026 Event, Levy Senior Center (300 Dodge Ave.)

Friday, September 25  |  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Latino Family Game Night (Noche de Juegos), Robert Crown Community Center, Room B/C (1801 Main St.)
