City Seeks Public Comment on Draft 2026 Action Plan for HUD Funding
The City invites community members to provide feedback on the Draft 2026 Action Plan. The public comment period will run from Monday, April 20, to Tuesday, May 19.
The Draft 2026 Action Plan identifies and prioritizes housing and community development strategies, focusing on supporting low- and moderate-income residents. This plan is a requirement for receiving federal funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the following programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME).
How to Review and Share Your Thoughts:
- Read the Draft Plan: Available starting April 20 online at cityofevanston.org/conplan or in person at the City Clerk’s Office, 909 Davis St., Evanston, IL.
- Attend a Meeting: Provide comment in person at the Housing & Community Development Committee (HCDC) meeting on Tuesday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Morton City Hall, located at 909 Davis St.
- Email Your Comments: Send feedback to housing@cityofevanston.org.
- Mail Your Feedback: Address to Ana Elizarraga, City of Evanston, 909 Davis St., Evanston, IL 60201 (must be received by Monday, May 18).
