Required by any person desiring to keep hens on their property in the City of Evanston.
TERM: Calendar Year.
FEE: $50 per application.
RENEWABLE: Yes. Applicant to submit application, documentation and fee to the Health Department. Inspection(s) may be required.
TRANSFERABLE: No, coop licenses do not run with the land.

Documents to submit with a new application:
- Public Notice of Intent to Construct a Hen Coop
-Illinois Department of Agriculture Fillable-Premise Form
- Proof of Ownership
- A Site Plan Drawing showing the location - distance from house and property line, and dimensions of coop in square feet (length x width). The coop must be in the rear yard and at least 10 feet from the house and 3 feet from property lines.
