The City of Evanston, in cooperation with the Evanston Police Pension Fund and the Evanston Firefighters Pension Fund are required to produce an actuarial report on the funding needs for the defined benefit pension funds for police and firefighters in the City.  This complex report utilizes investment, expense and demographic data to project the future commitments of each fund and then provides a recommended funding level for these pensions to the City Council and Pension Boards.  This funding is provided predominantly from the City's property tax levy.  For further questions please contact the City Treasurer at (847) 866-2934
