Firewood Sale
The City of Evanston's annual firewood sale begins on Saturday, November 5, and will continue through March of 2017 or until supplies are exhausted. Sale hours are Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 2310 Oakton St., between the Recycling Center and the Evanston Animal Shelter.
Prices are as follows:
4'x4'x1.5' x 2: $175
4'x4'x1.5': $100
2'x4'x1.5': $65
1'x4'x1.5': $40
Payment by personal check is preferred, although payment can also be made by cash. Credit cards are not accepted, and delivery is not available. Staff may be able to assist residents with loading firewood into their vehicles.
Free woodchips are also available at the base of the hill in adjacent James Park. Residents are welcome to take as much of this mulch as they would like.
