Proposed Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance Meeting
The City of Evanston invites owners, managers, and representatives of large buildings in Evanston (20,000-square-feet and above) to any of three public meetings on the proposed energy and water benchmarking ordinance. The ordinance is scheduled for a final vote by the Evanston City Council on Monday, November 28, 2016.
The draft ordinance, which can be found at cityofevanston.org/benchmarking, was developed with leadership from the Evanston Utilities Commission and input from dozens of community stakeholders over the course of six public meetings and through consultation with other communities with similar ordinances.
City staff will host three drop-in information sessions as follows:
Wednesday, October 26, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Room G300, Morton Civic Center (ground floor)
Thursday, November 3, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Room 2404, Morton Civic Center (second floor)
Tuesday, November 8, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Room 2402, Morton Civic Center (second floor)
