YWCA Evanston/North Shore invites the public to participate in the racial equity workshops it is offering during the month of March. The two-and-a-half hour workshops will be held at the Morton Civic Center in Evanston.
The subjects, dates, and times are as follows:
“Microaggressions: Intent vs. Impact,” Monday, March 5, 9-11:30 a.m.
“Implicit Bias,” Wednesday, March 21, 9-11:30 a.m
“Developing Cultural Competence,” Monday, March 26, 1:30-4 p.m.
“Understanding White Privilege,” Thursday, March 29, 1:30-4 p.m.
YWCA routinely leads racial equity workshops for groups and institutions throughout Evanston and the North Shore. The series in March is a special opportunity for the public to participate on an individual basis, and develop a deeper understanding of race and its impact on all of us. Fees for each workshop are $75, but participants can request partial waivers if necessary.
