Prospective Landlords: The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking landlords with available units to attend this unique event. The goal is to match veterans seeking apartments to landlords with available units. Veterans attending the event will be prepared with completed background checks and security deposits. All they need is an apartment to move into. The goal is to house 25 veterans in one day!
The Housing Authority will provide landlord packets on site. Landlords should bring the following information that will be necessary to complete this paperwork: Direct Deposit information, Proof of Ownership (legal owner's name, SSN, mailing address, phone, and email), information to complete a W-9 Form, and a copy of the owner's Social Security Card or Tax ID letter (EIN assignment notification from the IRS). Management Agreement if you are working on someone's behalf. Please have leases ready to be signed and keys in hand to welcome home our heroes.
