African-American Youth Achievement Awards Program
Thirty-eight African American students from the Evanston-Skokie public schools will be honored at the nineteenth Annual African-American Youth Achievement Awards program on February 26, 2016 at Evanston Township High School. The reception will be held at 5 p.m. in the Terrace Room and the ceremony will be held in the Upstairs Theater at 6 p.m. The observance is a Black History Month initiative sponsored by the City of Evanston, First Bank and Trust, Family Focus Evanston, McGaw YMCA, Northwestern University, the NAACP Evanston Branch, and Shorefront, in conjunction with Evanston-Skokie School District 65 and ETHS District 202.
