The Evanston Police Department will host an informational meeting regarding its Explorer Program on Thursday, November 16 at 6 p.m. at Evanston Fire Department Headquarters, 909 Lake St. The informational session is open to Evanston youth grades 9-12 and their parents/guardians.  Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to attend. 

Beginning in January 2018, the program will offer Evanston youth interested in law enforcement an opportunity to learn directly from officers and give the youth an advantage in the law enforcement profession.  The program will be comprised of both classroom curriculum as well as hands-on activities.  The program is ongoing and does involve attending monthly meetings.
