Meet Mayor Hagerty and 5th Ward Alderman Robin Rue Simmons at Jennifer's Edibles, located at 1623 Simpson St., for Sunday brunch and conversation on Sunday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit the Work Ethic Program.

Civic Bites is a series of events intended to showcase Evanston restaurants, breweries, bars and businesses. Once every month or two, Mayor Hagerty will choose a space and invite people to meet him there to discuss local issues, ideas and concerns. A portion of proceeds from the sales of each event will go toward a non-profit of the establishment owner’s choosing. Civic Bites is a way to combine some of many good things in Evanston – business, philanthropy, and civic engagement.
