Over the last five years, the Run for Walk has welcomed more than 3,000 Northwestern fans, supporters, and friends of the late Head Coach Randy Walker, to honor our former head football coach and create a staple of the Chicagoland running scene.

Once again this year, the 5k family walk will continue as part of the Run for Walk, a 4.1 mile run through Evanston's tree-lined streets and on Northwestern University's campus. Participants will finish on Ryan Field. The unique run distance harkens back to Randy's uniform number 41 during his collegiate playing days at Miami University.

To honor Coach Walker, the registration fee for the participants who sign up in the first 41 days will be $35.90 ($4.10 discount). The registration fee will rise to $37.50 on April 9 and will remain at this price level until July 1 at 5 p.m. (will raise to $40 after that point). Northwestern students may register for $25. Kids' events will take place, as well, and registration is just $10.
