The Great Lake Plunge is Evanston's first open water swimming event and only 4K distance swim.  The swim consists of four events: 200M, 1K, 2K & 4K open water swims.  All proceeds benefit Evanston Swims!,  a partnership between YWCA Evanston/North Shore, McGaw YMCA, and District 65 providing free swimming lessons to Evanston second graders.
