The Advanced Disposal open house is scheduled for Tues., July 18 from 6 - 7 pm at the Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center, 1823 Church St. 

 Advanced Disposal will share with the community new site improvement plans for the Evanston Transfer Station located at 1711 Church St. Construction of the project will begin by Mon. Aug. 1 and will include closing a portion of the sidewalk along the north side of the Church St. for a least one month. Improvements will include: Demolition of an abandoned brick building, widening the current entrance, installation of a 12ft. sound and visual barrier wall and improved aesthetics and green space.
