Get ready to hit the sidewalks of Downtown Evanston from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28! Independent retailers will offer too-good-to-resist deals both inside and outside their shops for the annual Downtown Evanston Sidewalk Sale. Find great deals on apparel, books, one-of-a-kind accessories, art supplies and more. 

On Saturday, July 27, Downtown Evanston is hosting the 8th annual Chalk Art Contest to bring color and creativity to the sidewalks. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., artists of all ages and levels will create chalk art designs. The winner of the contest will be announced at 5 p.m. on Instagram and Facebook. In addition, on Saturday from 11a.m. to 2 p.m., Downtown Evanston will have a booth at Fountain Square with big games and giveaways. From Noon to 3 p.m. you can listen to live jazz music by ETHS students while you enjoy lunch or ice cream at Fountain Square.
