The City’s "My City, Your City, Our City" Safe Summer Initiative returns this year, kicking off the season by partnering with Be Strong Families to present Evanston is Family Strong! Family Fun Fest on Sunday, April 30 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Robert Crown Community Center, 1801 Main St. 

This free, family-friendly event is hosted in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April and will honor the legacy of local pediatrician and violence prevention advocate Marjorie Fujara, MD.

At the event, families will enjoy learning about community resources, meeting other families, and participating in music, art, yoga, games and other fun group activities. Food and refreshments will also be available.
