The Preservation Ordinance empowers this body to safeguard the City’s historic and cultural heritage. The Commission is primarily tasked with identifying and preserving historic, cultural, and architectural resources and encourages public participation and affords due process through public hearings on proposed designations as well as reviewing and making determinations on applications for certificates of appropriateness, economic hardship, and special merit. 

We ask that all members of the public, as well as the applicants present, be respectful of tonight's proceedings and adopt the decorum necessary to facilitate impartial discussion and debate.
