At the February 6, 2017 Human Services Committee meeting, the Evanston Police Department’s policies and procedures were presented. From that discussion, the Committee requested staff to develop an initial framework for a citizen complaint working group and to report back to them at their March 6, 2017 meeting.
A meeting was held on February 23, 2017, to provide feedback and assist with the development of a citizen complaint working group’s framework. A second meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, March 2 from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. in the Parasol Room, located on the 4th floor to summarize last week's discussion and to finalize a recommendation for the March 6 Human Services meeting.
