The City of Evanston has partnered with Evanston Community Bank & Trust to host a series of free workshops designed to provide financial literacy and business building curriculum to Evanston’s small business owners and entrepreneurs. The series, titled “Building Your Business: What You Need to Know to Grow,” will feature four sessions focused on different topics and will be presented by local experts. These workshops were designed as a series, but can also be attended individually.
Session 1 - “Business Formation: How Entity Choice and Structure Impacts Your Business,” presented by Jessica Oldani with Oldani Entrepreneurial Law, P.C. This session will help you determine what business structure (Corporation, LLC, Sole Proprietorship, etc.) is right for you and your business.
All workshops will take place in the YWCA Evanston/North Shore conference space, located at 1215 Church St., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a 45-minute program with 15 minutes for Q&A. A light lunch will be provided. Please RSVP for each workshop by 5 p.m. the Friday prior to the date of the workshop at cityofevanston.org/buildingyourbusinessworkshopregistration.
