Join an adult learning community to study water, a defining feature of our geography and of our social, economic, political, cultural, and spiritual lives. Evanston’s location on the southwest shore of Lake Michigan, one of the five Great Lakes in the Great Lakes Watershed, means that we are some of the major beneficiaries and caretakers of the largest system of freshwater on the surface of earth. Each workshop includes a short talk, discussion, hands-on activity, and tea.
Leaders from Evanston's departments that deal with water will describe their work, their challenges, and visions for Evanston's Water Future. This event is free, but RSVP is suggested. For accessibility concerns and to RSVP, please email Clare@lakedance.org.
