We've scheduled an additional Starlight Concert in honor of Judge Lionel Jean-Baptiste, former 2nd Ward Alderman. The concert will feature the Indika Reggae Band on Sunday, July 3, 5:30 p.m., at Harbert-Payne Park.
Earlier that day, at 3 p.m., a street renaming ceremony will take place honoring Judge Lionel Jean-Baptiste for his phenomenal service to the City of Evanston. A portion of McDaniel Avenue between Crain Street and Dempster Street will be renamed Hon. Lionel Jean-Baptiste Way. Judge Jean-Baptiste served as the 2nd Ward Alderman for ten years and is currently a Cook County Circuit Court Judge. He has served the City through his contributions to the NAACP as well as his work with youth and seniors.
