Fran Randall Memorial Concert
The Fran Randall Memorial Concert Series spotlights music students from local colleges, universities, and high schools. All concerts include the Levy Center's refurbished Steinway grand piano.
Jilene Van Opdorp is the performer for this concert. Jilene is a second year graduate student at Northwestern University in the studio of John Thorne. She received her BM in Flute Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Elizabeth Rowe, Cynthia Meyers, and Fenwick Smith. This past summer, Jilene performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and is currently a semi-finalist for the New World Symphony. Also an avid piccolo player, she was a winner of the National Flute Association's Piccolo Masterclass Competition in 2011.
Also performing will be pianist Allison Wang. Allison was the Jerome & Elaine Nevenberg Foundation Scholarship winner from the Musicians Club of Women. This program is funded by the Levy Senior Center Foundation.
