Downtown Evanston Farmers' Market

  • Date: 06/18/2022 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Location: University Place and Oak Avenue

The Downtown Evanston Farmers' Market, which was named "Best Farmers Market - Suburbs" by Better Chicago, will be open every Saturday, May 7 through November 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue, behind the Hilton Garden Inn. Senior and disabled shoppers are invited to visit the Market early, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive to the market hungry, as food will be sold on site. This season, up to 60 vendors will sell a wide variety of goods, including fruits, vegetables, meat, flowers, cheese, baked goods and more.

LINK cards are accepted at the market. LINK customers will be able to receive a match of up to $25 per Saturday.

Parents and guardians can get their children involved in healthier eating through the Farmers' Market's free Spud Club program. Children ages 2 to 10 years old can participate in a weekly activity and obtain a punch card at the Spud Club tent and get it punched each week. Once the card is fully punched, they will be able to select from a Market-themed bushel basket.

Shoppers will also be able to purchase original artwork at the market. The Homegrown Artists showcase for Evanston artists and their work will be featured for 16 weeks, starting in mid-June. Interested artists should email mgorman@cityofevanston.org.

Walking, riding or driving to the Market is easy. Free parking is available in the 1800 Maple Self Park Garage with ticket validation at the City of Evanston tent.

Live animals and pets, other than service animals, are not allowed at the Market.
