The Evanston Fire and Police Departments will hold a memorial ceremony to honor the brave men and women who lost their lives 20 years ago on September 11, 2001.
The memorial service will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., on Saturday, September 11 at Firemen’s Park, located at the corner of Simpson Street and Maple Avenue.
This year's program will include presentations from Mayor Daniel Biss, Fire Chief Paul Polep, Fire and Police Chaplains, and others.
This will be a socially distanced event. Due to estimated attendance, there will be limited space. Face coverings will be required and available, if needed.
