Through the Eyes of Hubble, Michelle Nichols, Director of Public Observing, Adler Planetarium
The Hubble Space Telescope has had more impact on astronomy and the public's awareness of astronomy than any other telescope in history. This presentation will highlight some of the well-known, and not-so-well-known, images and science from the last 29 years of Hubble’s mission—plus a sneak peek at what’s next: the James Webb Space Telescope.
Michelle Nichols has worked at the Adler since June 1995. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University.
