Pace is seeking public input on proposed service changes resulting from the North Shore Transit Service Coordination Plan and Market Analysis, a joint study completed in 2017 by Pace and CTA. These proposed changes would be implemented in August 2020, and include changes to several routes, some of which impact Evanston.
Route 215, which currently runs from the Howard CTA station to Old Orchard, would no longer operate in Evanston according to the proposed network. The Howard CTA would instead be served by Route 226, operating on Howard Street and terminating in Arlington Heights. Residents who need to access Route 215 would need to transfer via Route 226.
Pace is holding a series of public outreach meetings to elicit feedback about these changes, including one in Evanston:
Tuesday, February 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Levy Senior Center
300 Dodge Ave.
Written comments can also be submitted at PaceBus.com through February 18 using the Public Hearing Comment Form.
