Third Annual Canal Shores Campout
With activities that include swinging on a silk knot, climbing the Spanish web, spinning on the Lyra (aerial hoop), laser tag, rollerskating, a "midnight" movie, games, and an inflatable obstacle courses, the third annual Canal Shores Campout promises to have something for everyone. Add in grilling and meals from Ten Mile House and you have a formula for an overnight of fun for everyone, with a focus on family, friendship and sports.
More than 200 campers are expected again this year, and the program has expanded to provide additional experiences for all attendees.
"The Board of the Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Association is thrilled to have the Actors Gymnasium providing their aerial rig so our attendees can Learn to Fly. We hope that all attendees will go home with fond memories of a great experience. We appreciate the contributions that the Chandler-Newberger Community Center has made in promoting the event, providing assistance with planning, and hosting indoor activities."
