Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
The 3rd annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event is a playful opportunity to raise awareness about the serious causes, effects and remediation to sexualized violence against women. Staged in Centennial Park, participants walk 1 mile or less on the lakefront path wearing womens' heels.
This event is open to men, women and children to walk but is specifically designed with men in mind. The event helps raise funds for Northwest Center Against Sexual Assualt (NWCASA), which provides support, hope, and healing to those who have been affected.
Date: Sunday, October 2 (Rain or Shine)
Time: Check in at 10am, walk at 11am
Location: Centennial Park
Registration Fee: $25
Additional Info:
Shoes will be provided for use during the walk
Prizes will be given to the person/team that raises the most money and for the most enthusiastic walker
