Water Treatment Facility Tour
Community members are invited to tour the Evanston Water Treatment Facility, located at 555 Lincoln St., on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
The City of Evanston's Water Production Bureau will provide two tours on a first-come, first-served basis. The first tour will be given from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for residents age 15 years and older. A second 'child friendly' tour will follow from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for residents with children age 6 years or older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All adults are required to provide photo identification upon arrival.
Water facility tours are limited to the first 30 people who sign up for each group, and all must be Evanston residents. To register, please call 847-448-8198 or email water@cityofevanston.org by Wednesday, October 5. All participants must provide their name, address, phone number and the names of all the individuals who will be attending in their group. Walk-in registration will not be available.
Parking will be available at the Water Treatment Facility via the driveway located on the north side of Lincoln Street, between the two buildings. Please arrive at the facility 20 minutes before the tour start time, as admittance to the facility will not be permitted once the tours have started.
