Evanston ReBuilding Warehouse Wrecking Ball Fundraiser
This October 8th, spend a night eating local food, drinking local brews, and bidding on everything from an antique corn shucker to entertainment packages to little free libraries at the Evanston ReBuilding Warehouse's 3rd annual Wrecking Ball fundraiser! There will be live jazz and competitive games as well, including giant Jenga sets and other hand-made items that will be auctioned off.
The Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has effected great change in less than 5 years, including: diverting tens of thousands of tons of reusable building material from landfills; making affordable renovation accessible to countless families, building owners and creative re-users; providing educational workshops and seminars to professionals and homeowners; and successfully employing 80% of our workforce trainees who were previously facing multiple barriers to employment.
100% of the Wrecking Ball proceeds will go to the Evanston Rebuilding WORKFORCE, our job training initiative. The ongoing 7-month intensive program trains individuals in deconstruction and construction, preparing the whole person for success and long-term employment.
