34th Annual Marty Leoni Fun Run
All are invited to participate in the annual Marty F. Leoni Fun Run on Sunday, October 13, 8:30 a.m., beginning at Fire Department Headquarters, located at 909 Lake St., Evanston. You can run, walk, bike, skateboard, rollerblade or do whatever it takes to reach the finish line!
Firefighter/Paramedic Marty Leoni lost his life in the line of duty at a fire at 1927 Jackson St. in Evanston on July 22, 1985. All proceeds will benefit the Marty Leoni Memorial Fund.
Time: 8:30 a.m. to noon
Start: Fire Department Headquarters, 909 Lake St., Evanston
Finish: Elliott Park, Hamilton St. and Lake Shore Blvd.
Distance: Approximately 3 miles
Refreshments will follow the event. Event t-shirts may be purchased on site. This free event is open to all ages; no registration necessary.
