Evanston seniors and those with disabilities are invited to learn about the City’s expanded transportation program and the many options available to them at a free resource fair on Thursday, March 7, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Levy Senior Center.

At the fair, attendees can get information about the Brink’s Business Expense prepaid debit card, which is issued by the City of Evanston and can be used by Evanston Benefit Card holders to cover expenses for all modes of transportation, including buses, trains, taxis and rideshare services. The program was launched in 2018 in partnership with The Brink’s Company as an alternative to the City’s subsidized taxicab coupon program. Representatives of Brink’s and various transportation providers will be on hand during the event.

The resource fair will also provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about other transportation programs and resources that may be available to them, including the RTA Reduced Fare Card, ADA Paratransit Service, and the State of Illinois’ Benefit Access Program.
