Evanston community members are invited to participate in a free presentation on advance care planning hosted by the Commission on Aging. Loretta Downs, founder of Chrysalis End-of-Life Inspirations, will provide information on palliative and hospice care, advance directives, end-of-life options for care, and guidance in how to voice your preferences with your loved ones and caregivers. Ms. Downs is an internationally recognized inspirational speaker, writer, and consultant on the subject of supporting the end of life with comfort and dignity.

 

Attendees of the presentation will be given the opportunity to register for a follow-up workshop on Friday, November 9 from 1-3:30 p.m. during which they can receive assistance completing Power of Attorney documents and/or Living Wills with representatives from the Center for Disability and Elder Law.
