Join Evanston’s annual celebration of trees! Community groups will share information on trees, bees and butterflies, and migratory birds that live in or visit Evanston. There will be a tree walk, an opportunity to talk with the City forester, and activities for children. You can also join in planting dozens of native shrubs and wildflowers. The planting is part of the City's North Shore Channel Habitat Project, which is working to expand and improve bird habitat at several sites along the channel banks. If you want to help plant, wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring gloves and a trowel if you can. (We’ll have some, too.)
This event is free and all ages are welcome. No registration is required.
