Walk Description:
A 1-mile walk from the Evanston Ecology Center to Green Bay Road and back through Twiggs Park. Leading the walk are volunteers who work with the City’s North Shore Channel Habitat Project to establish and care for trees and flowers that support birds and butterflies. We’ll make a few stops along the way to share stories and learn about the history—”natural and unnatural”—of Evanston’s section of the channel.

All are welcome; Senior friendly; The first half of the walk is on a path that is unpaved but flat; the second half is on an asphalt path.

Parking is available just off McCormick Boulevard across Bridge Street from the Ecology Center. Restrooms are inside.
