Hiring Requirements and Benefits Information
Chosen candidates will be required to provide proof of licenses, certifications, and education required for the position for which they are applying. Candidates will also be subject to qualifying pre-employment processes including, but not limited to, medical examination, drug/alcohol screen, employment verification, and criminal background check.

Other required steps for Police Officers include a structured oral interview/writing test, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation, medical screening, background investigation, and final certification by the Civil Service Commission.

About the Human Resources Division
Human Resources is the central coordinating point for the filling of all full-time, permanent part-time, temporary, and seasonal positions. Human Resources also provides assistance and guidance to the operating departments and employees in all areas of employment including recruitment, selection, position classification, salary administration, promotion, performance evaluation, training, benefits administration, discipline, on-the-job injuries and disability, labor relations, and safety.
