Access Evanston Program: Streamlined Support for Seniors

The City of Evanston offers a comprehensive range of services for older adults, conveniently grouped under the Access Evanston Program. This program simplifies the process for Evanston seniors to access various resources and services.

With just one in-person application, eligible seniors can explore a variety of programs and benefits, including a subsidized transportation program, discounts on Wheel Tax and Yard Waste Stickers, and assistance through the Handyman program.

You can find detailed information about each program in the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.

Many of our Senior Services programs have age and income eligibility requirements, typically set at 65 years or older. However, if an applicant is below the program's age limit but has a disability and meets additional eligibility criteria, they may still qualify to participate.

While the City of Evanston's Senior Services office doesn't provide direct-care services, our knowledgeable staff is well-versed in a wide range of options to meet your needs or those of your loved ones. If they don't have the answer immediately, they know where to look to provide the assistance you require!
