GROWW serves as the City's comprehensive Workforce Development hub, bringing together resources, training, and support to empower residents and strengthen local businesses. Through strategic partnerships with educational institutions, local employers, and community-based organizations (CBOs), GROWW offers job training, career counseling, apprenticeship opportunities, and entrepreneurial support. Designed to build skills, create pathways to employment, and foster career advancement, GROWW ensures Evanston's workforce remains competitive in a changing economy. Whether you're entering the job market, advancing your career, or launching a business, GROWW is your go-to resource for workforce readiness and growth.

The GROWW workforce development program empowers job seekers, regardless of their level of expertise or experience, by facilitating the following:

12 to 16 weeks of paid, on-the-job training
Offering competitive, living wage pay
Wraparound/case management services are provided throughout the program
Variety of employment options and resource connectivity
Local, sustainable career pathway opportunities

Must be 18+ years of age
Must be an Evanston Resident
Must have a demonstrated desire to succeed and grow

Complete the Workforce Division Engagement Form.
Schedule a meeting with the Career Development Coordinator to conduct an initial needs assessment (you will be redirected to a scheduling tool following your submission).
