First West Nile Virus Mosquitoes Reported in Evanston
The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District (NSMAD) has found the first West Nile virus positive mosquitoes to occur in their traps in Evanston this year. A batch of mosquitoes, collected on June 22, 2016, from a NSMAD trap in Evanston, tested positive for West Nile virus in their lab on June 23. This year, WNV positive batches of mosquitoes have also been found in NSMAD traps located in Glenview, Kenilworth and Skokie. While the risk of being infected with'

Community Members Invited to Provide Comment on Draft Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance
The City of Evanston Utilities Commission, upon direction from the Evanston City Council, has launched a public comment period to receive input on a draft energy and water benchmarking ordinance. Dodge Avenue Protected Bike Lane Project Begins June 20
The City of Evanston will be constructing a protected bike lane on Dodge Avenue, from Howard Street to Lake Street, beginning Monday, June 20. ETHS to Move 'Geometry in Construction' House on June 13
