Experience Evanston through Drawing during "The Big Draw Evanston" Festival this October
This October, community members of all ages are invited to experience Evanston a whole new way as part of The Big Draw Evanston, a month-long festival that brings people together through informal art-making. Bike the Ridge Returns on September 25
The annual Bike the Ridge event will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday,'September 25, 2016. Ridge Avenue will be closed to ALL vehicular traffic between Howard and Church Streets. Bicycles are not allowed on Ridge Avenue at any other time, so come out and enjoy this free, non-competitive, City-sponsored special event! Evanston City Council Approves Next Steps for Harley Clarke Mansion
On Monday, September 12, the Evanston City Council approved next steps for the Harley Clarke Mansion and Coach House, located at 2603 Sheridan Rd., in Evanston. The Harley Clarke Mansion and Coach House ('property") will be owned and operated by the City of Evanston. The City Council allocates in the Fiscal Year 2016 and Fiscal Year 2017 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) a total of $250,000 for immediate improvements at the property. Update: Evanston Yard Waste Stickers Now Available at The Home Depot
UPDATE: Evanston yard waste stickers are once again available at the Home Depot. The store completed payment for stickers sold in 2015, and purchased stickers for the remaining 2016 season. The City of Evanston is notifying residents that yard waste stickers are no longer being sold at The Home Depot, located at 2201 Oakton St., in Evanston. The Home Depot has failed to pay the City, and by extension its taxpayers, more than $15,000 for yard waste stickers. Most'

2016 Alley Paving Project Begins September 12
Over the next 10 weeks, the City of Evanston will be contracting alley paving work at various locations throughout the city. The work will include necessary sewer and drainage improvements and alley paving. Garage aprons will be reconstructed to meet the new alley pavement as needed.
