  • Northwestern University Commits $1 Million to Reimagined Robert Crown Center

    Northwestern University has announced a $1 million commitment to the campaign to build a new Robert Crown Community Center, Turf Park and Library. Northwestern will make its investment in the form of a programmatic partnership agreement, rather than a charitable gift, and will distribute the committed funds in three payments over three years.   • Nominate an Older Adult in Evanston for the 2017 Aging Well Award

    Evanston community members and organizations are encouraged to nominate an older adult in Evanston who has made an impact in the local community through his or her interest in aging for the 2017 Aging Well Award.     Evanston residents age 65 years or older should have recently received 2016 Senior and Senior Freeze Property Tax Exemption renewal applications in the mail, and must file them by Wednesday, February 8, 2017.     Completion of the City of Evanston's Penny Park Renovation Project is now anticipated in spring 2017. Penny Park is located at Lake Street and Ashland Avenue.
