Looking for ways to volunteer and help make Evanston a better place to live and work? The City of Evanston Volunteer Program provides many opportunities for you.
Volunteerism is one of our community’s greatest assets. Each hour you donate in Evanston not only strengthens our entire community but also helps realize our shared vision of making Evanston the "most livable city in America.”
"Give Back Evanston"
Wed., April 2, 1-4 p.m.
Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, Gymnasium
1655 Foster St., Evanston
Parents are encouraged to take advantage of District 65's early dismissal on Wed., April 2 and bring their children to participate in a meaningful and fun-filled afternoon of serbice activities for all ages and abilities. Community members will have the opportunity to volunteer together to complete service projects benefiting an array of Evanston-based recipients, including:
- YWCA Evanston/NorthShore
- Senior Connections
- Evanston Public Library
- Evanston Police and Fire Departments
- Evanston Hospital
In order to make this event a success, we need the help of volunteers. There are several adult volunteer opportunities available and MANY opportunities for younger volunteers. Our goal is to reach 200 participants and prove how much volunteerism means in Evanston!
Donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste and toilet paper will also be accepted to benefit those served by the YWCA Evanston/North Shore and Connections for the Homeless.
For more information, please contact Charliese Agnew at firstname.lastname@example.org.
