Robert Crown Center

Robert Crown Community Center and Ice Complex offers a wide range of recreation activities for all ages.

Photo of Robert Crown CenterThe Ice Complex provides ice skating, figure skating, hockey, speedskating and broomball. Skates may be rented to attend the public skating sessions and may be rented for use during skating classes.

The Community Center offers sports programs, classes in the visual and performing arts, and after-school and preschool programs.

Speed Skating

Shani Davis claimed his fifth straight World Cup win, including three at 1000m. The two-time Olympic Champion now has an all-time-best 35 career 1000m World Cup wins to go along with the 15 at 1500m. Shani has also anchored the U.S. Team Pursuit squad to three World Cup victories. The 1000m and 1500m World Record holder is looking to win his 9th and possibly 10th Overall World Cup titles in Berlin, including 5th straight 1500m crown. Shani will conclude his outstanding Winter 2012 campaign at the World Single Distance Championships in the Netherlands, March 22-25. Visit his web site for additional updates. Youth Hockey
Evanston Youth Hockey Association (EYHA) is a member of the NHL Diversity family. EYHA has been a leader in the area of diversity since the 1960s, and it is an honor for the National Hockey League to grant them NHL Diversity affiliate status.

Figure Skating
Manol Atanassov ranked 19th in the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2011.
He also was named the 2011 Bulgarian Junior National Champion. He won his second Bulgarian junior national title at the beginning of February 2011. Manol has been skating at Robert Crown Center since 2006. He performed as the Nutcracker Prince in the annual production of “Nutcracker on Ice” in 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2010. Manol is coached by staff skating professional Nick Belovol. See his short program here >>>

Hockey

The Tigers Women's Hockey Club also plays games at Robert Crown Center. Admission is free.
